“Charles McLellan doesn’t just teach resilience―he lives it, guiding readers with hard-won wisdom and fierce compassion. This book is a grounded and generous companion for anyone learning to meet pain with presence and courage.”
―David Treleaven, PhD, author of Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness
Charles McLellan, M.S.W., MBSR Teacher, is a longtime clinician in the mental health and addiction field who has supported people through life stresses for over 20 years. With a Master’s in Social Work focused on substance abuse—his work has always been rooted in healing and recovery, even as he faced his own hard-earned lessons with alcohol addiction, PTSD, and cancer. Through deep inner work—daily practice, compassionate self-inquiry, and “living” the ten Foundation Steps—he transformed his relationship with stress, trauma, and the mind-body story, and shaped a path he now shares with readers as a way to heal and live a full life, no matter what they’re carrying.
Charles loves living life to the fullest, having challenges bring out his best, and exploring as much as possible with his wife and dog.
